Chemalux spin-on AR coating technology
is a sol-gel based hybrid nanotechnology. The coating
process employs the simple spin-on technique which is
used to make scratch resistant coatings on ophthalmic
lenses. The advantages of Chemalux technology based on
unique integrated features of the technologies: Sol-Gel
Technology, Hybrid Technology, Nanotechnology, and Spin
Coating Technology

| The sol-gel
process is a chemical solution process to make diversified
functional coatings. In this process, chemical precursors
in solutions hydrolyzes and polycondenses to form molecular
clusters, nanosize colloidal particles in solutions. This
solutions are used as precursor solutions to fabricate
coating by various techniques such as spin coating, dip
coating, flow coating. The coating are further cured to
form desired function coatings. The curing is done by
either thermal methods or radiation. The sol-gel precursor
solution will further gel to form versatile shape of materials
can be tailored into be porous or dense. |
